Our Lady of Loreto Catholic School

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Breetz has proudly called Colorado home since 2003. A lifelong product of Catholic education, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Dayton before completing a master’s degree in Differentiated Instruction from Graceland University. Following college, she dedicated a year to service as a house parent for Boys Hope Girls Hope, a residential program in Pittsburgh.

With two decades of teaching experience, Mrs. Breetz taught middle school students within Denver Public Schools and Cherry Creek Schools from 2004 to 2019, and served as the middle school math teacher at Our Lady of Loreto from 2021 to 2026. Firmly believing that "everyone is a math person," she recently enhanced her expertise by completing the Math Interventionist Certificate Program through Gordon College. Her own faith journey was deeply shaped by her experiences on the Kairos and Metanoia retreats in high school and college.

Mrs. Breetz and her husband were married at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Denver and have been active members of the Our Lady of Loreto community since 2014. Her favorite aspect of OLOL is the genuine kindness shared daily between students and staff. Outside the classroom—where she loves building her students' self-confidence and mathematical skills—she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children, and their lavender leopard gecko, Cheeseball. Her personal hobbies include reading, embroidery, baking, crafting, and the Colorado Avalanche. Go Avs!
